October is always a whirlwind month. I was in Daytona for three days last week helping lead a Residents in Ministry leadership retreat for pastors. Super time of fellowship and learning and everyone loved the new hotel we stayed at - a four poster bed and a view of the ocean never disappoint.
This past Saturday night we got to attend a birthday party for our dear friend Miss Abby. She was down with her family from Mississippi and we celebrated her turning 5! She loves Parker and Wesley and was fascinated by Davis. Everyone enjoyed dinner and the kids got some time in the pool at Aunt Eunice and Uncle Charles' house.
Daryl was gone this week from Sunday night until this afternoon in Leesburg leading the Board of Directors retreat for the conference's Shade and Fresh Water ministry that he co-chairs. Fortunately that should be the last retreat of the year that means any kind of single parenting for our family. Looking forward to having the five of us all in the same place for a while. The boys had baseball pictures last night while he was away and tonight we have more baseball games on our agenda.
