Friday night was the Service of Licensing, Commissioning, and Ordination for the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church. It was a really wonderful celebration. It was the first time Daryl and I had the opportunity as the members of the North Central District Committee on Ordained Ministry to watch folks get licensed for ministry who have appeared before us. It was exciting for me also to witness the ordination of four young pastors I have walked alongside mentoring for the last three years through the Conference's Resident in Ministry (RIM) process and to see the new RIM class get commissioned that I will come to know over the next three years.
But the absolute highlight for us was to witness the ordination of our dear friend Chris Sanders, who is part of our clergy couple covenant group. We are so happy for Chris!!!!
