Back to Legoland and Lakeland

We worked Monday this week and left late in the evening for a stop at the Holiday Inn in Davenport (near the old Boardwalk and Baseball park). On Tuesday morning we drove into Winter Haven and spent our day off this week with the boys at Legoland - but this time at the water park.

It was our first time at the water park and we were very impressed. It's small but incredibly well-maintained and well-done; much better than Wild Waters in Ocala.

Our favorite part was probably the lazy river - the tubes had Lego platforms on the sides. Rubberized Lego pieces float down the river and you can build stuff while you float along.

The big boys also took turns riding the big slides by themselves; inner tubes slides and flume slides. And we enjoyed the wave pool and the kids area too.

We cut out about 4pm and headed to Annual Conference in Lakeland. Our first order of business was dinner with our covenant group - the Sanders and the Holdens. Chris Sanders is getting ordained this week and we started celebrating early. It's always nice to be able to reconnect with clergy and lay friends from across the conference
