Mother's Day Celebrations

Mother's Day this year started on Friday when Davis brought home his handmade presents from daycare. There was a serious miscommunication through between us. Davis believed that they were all HIS presents - because it was his handprints and his picture in the frame and he had made them. Days later he's still not convinced that these presents are for Mama.

Wesley didn't want to be outdone and he made a couple of handmade craft cards for Mama with some of the scrapbooking supplies on hand. The second picture is a Christmas manger.

At worship on Sunday in church I got to baptize a mom and her daughter. This is me with sweet baby Olivia who is just ten weeks old.

After we got home from worship Baba and the boys gave me more Mother's Day presents. My favorite Avenger is Hawkeye and they gave me a much anticipated Hawkeye bobblehead, as well as some new music from some of my favorite artists: Mumford and Sons and Nichole Nordeman.

And then later in the afternoon Grandmommy and Granddaddy drove up to spend some time with us. The boys gave Grandmommy her Mother's Day presents - and it seems that she was in need of a lot of help to open her card, pictures and scarf.

We took a road trip then down to Fruitland Park to drive them past the new church and house and ended up in the Lake Sumter Landing section of The Villages for dinner at Johnny Rockets and a walk around the wharf. We had a great time visiting and are so glad that they came north for a visit.
