Vacation Day Eight

Saturday was rainy but we checked out of our condo on IDrive and headed for Disney Springs. More Pride photo opportunities here. We shopped for a while and then had a brunch/lunch reservation at the Boathouse. So so good! And their manager came out to vet my food with all my allergies - the shrimp boil was delicious.

Later in the afternoon we checked into Disney's Yacht Club Resort. This is connected to Beach Club and is in between Epcot and Hollywood Studios. You can walk, take a boat or take the Skyliner in between the two. And it's across the lake from Boardwalk as well as Swan and Dolphin as well. We wanted to stay here because Yacht and Beach have the BEST pool complex on Disney property - Stormalong Bay. This is 3 acres of water fun (450,000 gallons of water) - connected pools with a SAND bottom, hot tubs, lazy river and a shipwreck slide. We had the best time outside for hours and tried it all. We also ordered ice cream for dinner from their famous Beaches and Cream restaurant's walk-up window and ate dinner poolside (they even had my dairy free/soy free ice cream!).

The hotel room was pretty amazing too.

Parker and I took the Skyliner from Epcot to Hollywood and back and watched the fireworks from the sky while Daryl and the other boys watched them from the balcony. Later I sat out on the balcony and enjoyed the view of Boardwalk and watched all the people walk back to their hotels from Epcot. So pretty.
