Christmas Break in Chicago - Part Five

A late start for us on Friday. We spent the morning relaxing in the apartment and doing some laundry. Headed out for a late lunch/early supper at Giardino's on Rush street (supposed to be the original) near the north end of the Magnificent Mile. This time we had a reservation!

After our hearty meal we headed out to find nearby St. James Cathedral; it's an Episcopal church. They had a labyrinth in their back garden.

Then it was time to walk the Magnificent Mile. Michigan Avenue did not disappoint. The boys were impressed with the 5 story Starbucks and the 2 story Apple store on the Chicago River. And a little store called IT'SUGAR became Davis' favorite stop of the whole trip.

We finished up the evening at the 360 Observation Deck on the 93rd floor of the John Hancock Tower. While a nice view, we definitely liked the Willis Tower better the night before.

And our mileage count for the day - 5.04 miles walked. Whew!
