Finally Home!

We made it home late last night from the hospital - Davis stayed fever free for over 24 hours so they finally released us! It felt great to be able to come home finally with him - he hasn't been home since early Thursday morning last week.

We are beyond thankful for all of the amazing doctors and nurses at Arnold Palmer Children's Hospital. What a blessing they have been to our family in sorting out what was wrong with Davis and getting him better!

This hospital truly is designed with making the hospital less scary for sick children - with a Disney atrium complete with castle and an outdoor play area, to room service whenever you want it off a special menu, plus the kitchen on our unit that was stocked with drinks and snacks for patients and families 24/7. Child life specialists brought around a therapy dogs, he got several stuffed bears and toys during the week, and more.

Sweet Davis in the Leesburg ER. I told him he looked like ET with the red light on his finger. Sadly he had no idea who ET was - we'll have to watch that movie later.
